Heidi joined Ganain in 2020, eager to learn and grow in a technical environment that wasn’t unfamiliar to her. With steady steps and quiet determination, she gained confidence and ease, becoming a stable part of the team. Today, in addition to operating machinery with precision, she supports new team members, sharing the guidance that helped her when she was starting out.
Mother of twins, she never stops — not at home, not at work. Balancing, contributing, and moving forward: that’s her every day. That’s who she is.
How was your experience during your first days at Ganain?
Intense. Even though I was already familiar with the industry, every company has its own pace, its own processes, and its own people. It took me a few days to adapt, but from the very beginning I felt a good atmosphere. I was eager to do well, to understand every detail, and that helped me integrate quickly.
Which aspect of your work do you enjoy the most?
When a piece turns out right from start to finish. That feeling that everything came together just as it should. I also enjoy helping new colleagues. I remember how important it was for me to have support when I started, so I try to do the same for others.
What do you think you bring to the team?
I bring an organized, clear way of working. I like doing things properly — not rushing, but with precision. I also try to maintain a positive, collaborative attitude. We all rely on each other here, and when you share what you know, everything runs more smoothly.
How do you manage to juggle work and family life?
Thanks to the morning shift. It allows me to be with my kids in the afternoon, enjoy time with them, and also have moments to unwind. It’s a balance I truly value.
What stands out to you about the environment at Ganain?
There is respect. I never felt different for being a woman. Good work is valued, regardless of who does it. And that gives a lot of confidence.
What’s Heidi like when she’s not at work?
Very active. I like to make the most of my time with my kids, going for walks with them, heading to the mountains, the beach, or coming up with any kind of plan at home. I enjoy organizing things, staying busy—I’m not one to sit still. I also really enjoy spending time with family and friends, chatting, cooking, or simply doing something different. There’s always something to do, and that keeps me motivated.
What would you say to other women who are thinking about entering this industry?
Don’t hesitate. It’s a demanding job, yes, but also very rewarding. Sometimes it may seem like it’s not a place for us, but it is. I feel good here, and I’m sure many others would too. It’s an environment where you can grow, learn, and prove that ability has no gender.
Heidi doesn’t seek to stand out. She works, contributes, and pays attention to every detail of what she does. It’s not about making noise for her, but about being there with consistency and a positive attitude. You can see it in the workshop and in how she supports newcomers. Naturally, she shows that there’s room in this industry for different ways of doing things; because the difference lies not only in doing things well but in how you do them.
